A few weeks ago I went with a friend to a scrapbooking expo in a nearby town. She is an avid scrapbooker, but I haven't really explored the craft beyond a few handmade cards. I didn't expect to buy anything and I certainly didn't expect to make jewelry. I was surprised on both counts. I ended up picking up a few round tins and some tiny alphabet stamps. I also made two necklaces while I was there.
At left is a "make and take" necklace I made at the After Midnight Art booth. The base is a piece of glass. On top, I layered embossing enamels (using a tiny spoon to scoop them up), melted them, and pressed a rubber stamp into it before the pendant hardened completely. The bail was glued on.
