This week Carmi at Resin Crafts shows how to use Envirotext Lite Resin and Apoxie Clay to create a unique ring featuring a photo of Audrey Hepburn and some diamond-backed crystals. I've been hearing a lot of about these new epoxy clays, but I was having trouble figuring out why I might want to use them, rather than just using resin. It was great to read about Carmi's experience. Now I can see the possibilities with adding dimension to a piece, rather than just having everything flat inside a bezel. Plus, the clay air dries, instead of having to be baked. (That last part sounds especially good with summer coming!)
