There's so much going on! This week I've finished editing Bead Star projects (some very cool designs!) and I dropped off some of my handmade earrings at a local boutique, Primp Hair Studio & Boutique in Fort Collins, Colorado. I've learned a bit about consignments doing that last activity, so I'll be sharing some tips in a future post.
Meanwhile . . .
Very Vintage Challenge
I loved the designs in the Very Vintage Fall Challenge. It's amazing how everyone took the same materials and put a different spin on them. I apologize for having an error in the link to Stephanie's blog early on reveal day, so if you missed her blog or any of the others, please check them out!
Did you miss out on this challenge? Inspired by some of the great designs? The kit pictured here is a new "grab bag" kit I made using some of the leftover fall Very Vintage challenge materials, plus some fun stuff from my personal stash. (I especially love that large vintage Lucite amber ring. I originally had it in the challenge kit, but didn't have enough of them to include.) I only had enough materials for three grab bag kits, so if you're interested, get one soon!
Another Challenge
Eclectica Beads wrote to tell me that they have a kit of pink beads for Breast Cancer Awareness month through October 15. Customers are encouraged to post their completed designs on Eclectica's Facebook page. You need to order the kit by phone (262) 641-0910. You can email them at eclecticainfo@sbcglobal.net if you have questions.
A New Newsletter
I'm starting a quarterly free e-newsletter to keep everyone informed about upcoming challenges and other beading news. My next seasonal challenge is January, but I do have a surprise in the works for later this year. I'm working out the details now. Subscribers to the newsletter will be the first to find out about it!
Book Giveaway
If you missed it, don't forget to leave a comment on Friday's blog for a chance to win a new jewelry making book!
