Lately I've had the colors red, white, and blue on the brain. It's a little strange. Other than a simple bracelet with blue goldstone rounds and cheap
silver-colored (plastic?!) star beads that I made when I first started
beading, I'm not sure I've ever made Fourth of July (Independence Day)
jewelry or crafts.
A couple of weeks ago, I created with some patriotic embossed cards with a simple star border. I tied the cards together with a bright red satin bow.
Then I made these patriotic earrings with the rusted stars handmade by The Lipstick Ranch in Colorado, along with some brass discs that I embossed with stripes and painted white.
Next I made these U.S. stamp earrings that I've paired with vintage Lucite rounds and sterling silver ear wires.
Oh, by the way in June I attended Bead & Button and this was the view from my hotel window.
No, my designs are never influenced by my environment. Why do you ask?
