Jewelry boxes have their place, but I like having a few favorite jewelry pieces out where I can see them. I also like having a few displays that can serve double-duty at home and at craft shows.
Over the weekend, I found this great ceramic egg carton at TJ Maxx that is perfect for holding rings. It showcases each individual ring and makes it easy to see them all at a glance. It was also a great price—$3 or $4.
Cardboard Egg Cartons
If you can't find your own ceramic egg carton container, you could make your own display out of a real cardboard egg carton. If you want to see a photo, check out the one by WhimseyLove that's featured in this list of ring displays curated by HandmadeMN.
If you'd rather not use a plain container, you could decoupage the carton with pretty papers for a cottage chic look. This teacup tutorial might provide color and pattern inspiration.
Muffin Tins & Other Dishes
Muffin tins or tiny tart tins also make cute holders for individual items. Small candy dishes and pretty teacup saucers could also work well for small groups of similar items. For craft shows, you might want to label the dishes. I thought this tip from Better Homes & Gardens about using clothespins for labels was a clever idea.
Dollar Store Frame
If you have a lot of rings, you might enjoy making this larger case of rings. I am amazed that Sachiko from Tea Rose Home made it using a frame from the dollar store, plus leftover scraps from other projects.
