Inside the Winter 2015 Issue of Jewelry Stringing
These pretty snowflake earrings of mine are in the winter issue of Jewelry Stringing. I've paired the gorgeous snowflake charms from B'Sue Boutiques with some Swarovski crystals and crystal pearls. This could be the first time I've paired mint green and lavender in a pair of earrings. I don't make a lot of pastel jewelry, but I found this particular combination very striking.
You'll also find an excerpt from my book Unexpected Findings inside the magazine. They've included the full instructions for one of the projects featured on the book cover.
By the way, I did the first round of technical edits for the projects in this issue way back in July! It was such a treat to see all the projects in person. This issue has a great set of themes: Delicate Femininity, Spotlight on Black, Star Struck, and Quick & Easy. I especially liked all the delicate projects; some of the work done on the necklaces in that category was astonishingly tiny and precise. I seriously admire the designers who can work on such a microscopic scale!
A Blogging Break
I'm taking a little break from blogging to finish up shop orders, complete some book edits, and have some holiday fun myself. (Among other things, I'm looking for cookie recipes for someone who doesn't like chocolate. I know—it's hard to believe such people exist. I'm happy to hear your suggestions!) I'll be back here in January 2015. In the meantime, I will continue to share beading and writing news on Twitter. Happy holidays!
