My Beaded Bird
Back in February I made a small beaded owl square for the Bead-It-Forward fundraiser. (You can see a bigger photo of my owl on the previous blog post.) My beaded square has now been incorporated into a handmade "Animal Kingdom" sample with 23 others, including a koala, a frog, a horse, dragonfly, and fox.
Online bidding for this project continues through September 30, 2015. The money raised goes to The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard, Massachusetts, and Rays of Hope Breast Cancer Research Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
There are a number of other projects available, including shadow boxes, pillows, and frames. A Girl Scout troop in New Mexico made one of the projects!
Bead-It-Forward
You can read more about Bead-It-Forward on their website and in the interview I did with the coordinator last year for Beadwork and Beading Daily.
They've already picked the theme for 2016. It's never too early to get started!
