Do you recognize the first line of this poem that I stamped on this bookmark? I showed a photo on Facebook and Twitter and people recognized it immediately as "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe. There's something that's so striking about this first line. If you didn't recognize that line from the poem, you probably recognize this shorter one I put on a keychain.
Here's a poetry-inspired ornament with another line that runs through my head occasionally. Like many people, I thought this line came from Shakespeare, but it's actually from poet Sir Walter Scott. It's not particularly Halloween related, but when I think of the word "web" it's one of the first phrases that runs through my head.
