Back in March I wrote about creating a pendant for a swap hosted by Cloth Paper Scissors magazine. The basic idea is that you make a pendant, send it in, and receive a pendant in the mail created by another reader.

Over the weekend, I received the pendant (pictured here) another reader, Julie,
created for me. It's a clever use of ribbon, glass, and metal tape. I like the star motif she choseāI use a lot of stars in my own work.
There's even a tiny star on the back, which I like. (It just seems
criminal to leave the back of an art piece completely blank!) The next Cloth Paper Scissors swap is for winter holiday gifts. Details are here. I'm tempted to participate. The big challenge will be thinking up a winter idea in the middle of August. I wonder what my neighbors will think if I crank up the Christmas tunes and hang the outdoor lights to get into the holiday spirit? |
