Sometimes all it takes to jump start a jewelry design is one beautiful pendant or charm. So imagine my delight when I received this package of several bronze charms, a pendant, chain, and findings, all from Nina Designs. Here's a photo of what I received:
My Jewelry Projects
I created three projects with this package of beautiful materials.
Turquoise Tango Necklace
To create this necklace full of contrasting textures, I paired some pretty orange beach glass with brown faceted glass, a Swarovski crystal bicone, a freshwater pearl, the chain, teal sari ribbon, and the bronze coral branch pendant.
I admit, I have a love/hate relationship with sari ribbon. I love its bright colors, but sometimes it feels too messy. Surprisingly, the ribbon's unraveled ends don't bother me in this necklace. They just add to the organic feel of the piece.

Extremely Charming Earrings
I'm a one-charm-per-earring sort of girl, so I challenged myself to use multiple charms (key, lotus petal, feather) for these earrings. I embossed some Vintaj rectangles with a swirl pattern and added some warm yellow crystals. I worried that the yellow might be too much with the gold tone of the bronze ear wires and charms, but it worked surprisingly well. This is a decadent pair of earrings, very unlike my usual minimal style.
Bubble Bracelet
I really wanted to make earrings with these bronze circle links, but challenged myself to dig deeper. As soon as I found this light blue and lavender lampworked bead from Kerry Bogert in my bead drawer, I had a bracelet idea. I wire wrapped the bead with a couple of other small fire-polished rounds and matte glass discs. I used brass split rings to connect the bead and the circles. A simple touch of white organza ribbon tied in a bow was all I needed to finish this sweet bracelet.
I hope I've given you some new ideas for these bronze pieces. If so, you'll definitely want to check out the giveaway below!
