For some odd reason, I've always had especially good luck with my magazine submissions for fall issues. I swear I'm not bribing editors with pumpkin spice lattes! In all seriousness, fall is my favorite season for jewelry design and I think it shows in the finished pieces.
(Winter, in contrast, is my most challenging jewelry design season, probably because I am so bundled up with layers of sweaters and scarves that I have trouble thinking about adding a layer of jewelry on top.)
In the Fall 2015 issue of Jewelry Stringing, I have five jewelry designs: one necklace, two bracelets, and two pairs of earrings. The square earrings shown here are in the "statement earring" section; the other is a petite pair with leaves in the gallery section.
I'm especially happy with the reversible necklace shown here. (This photo shows the back of the necklace.) I love reversible jewelry or reversible anything, really. I bought those unique brass V-shaped components to use in my book Unexpected Findings (to show an unusual use of eye pins), but didn't end up using them. It's always nice to find a new home for special beads and findings!
