I'm doing a webinar on January 13, 2015. It's titled How to Use Jewelry Findings in Unexpected Ways.
What is a webinar? It's basically an hour-long online class with both audio and visual components (sound, pictures and written text). If you've ever been curious about what my voice sounds like, this is your chance to hear it!
How is this webinar different from the book Unexpected Findings?
- During the live webinar, you can ask me questions! They don't have to be questions on unusual uses; I'm happy to talk about regular uses of findings, too. If you want to know which type of ear wire sells best in my Etsy shop or my favorite type of cord finding (and why), this is the time to ask. If we don't have time to get to everyone's questions live, I'll be answering them in writing. You'll get those responses after webinar. In other words, every question will get an answer.
- You'll get additional jewelry project ideas. Of course, I used some projects from the book to illustrate my talk, but I also used photos of other jewelry projects as examples of ways to use findings in new or different ways. (You will not get step-by-step project instructions or a detailed list of specific project resources in the webinar; if you want those, you're better off buying the book.)
- I'm sharing several very specific brainstorming techniques that will help you use findings in new ways. These are ones that I used to help come up with some of the designs in the book, but I've never discussed them anywhere before.
I hope to hear from a few of you at the webinar! If you can't attend the live session, you can download it later.
