And now for something a little different ...
American artist Nina Katchadourian creates book spine poetry by stacking titles in a certain order. I've been wanting to try this ever since I learned about it, but it's not as much fun doing it alone. Won't you join me?
Book Spine Poetry Blog Hop
Requirements
All you'll need to do is post a photo of your stack of artfully arranged books on your blog on Tuesday, September 9. There is no set number of books you need to use. You can post multiple photos if you like or write an actual blog post with words, but that's not required. All that's required is one photo of your books and links to all the other participating blogs. Easy, right?
Blog Hop Sign-up
Interested? Please leave me a blog comment saying that you'd like to join the blog hop and fill in the link to your blog. Yes, you'll need a blog to participate! I'll send out a list of participants on September 2 (make sure you sign up before then).
Pictured here: This is my very first book spine poetry stack. It reads:
If looks could kill
Dreams and wishes
Dare to repair.
I'll make a new one for the blog hop! In the meantime, if you want to read some really cute book spine poetry, check out the page hosted by the School Library Journal that has examples by kids.
