I saw the animated film Bee Movie on TV the other night. The opening had me grabbing a pen and jotting a note about a project I wanted to make:
"According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible."
This was something I'd heard before, so I did some quick research and found that it's a myth. (Here's a link to a study reported by Cornell News that gives details.)
Even if it's a myth, I still love the idea, since I think it's a good reminder that we can do more than we think we can. Since lately I've been creating some inspirational magnets, including I Think I Can (based on The Little Engine That Could) and Dream Big (with an Eiffel Tower charm), I decided to make a bumblebee magnet (with a tiny Vintaj bee charm) to add to my collection.
So, remember, you can do it, even if no one else believes you can!
