As I mentioned in yesterday's blog post, I spent most of my bead budget in Milwaukee on handmade beads and chain. Here are some of my handmade bead purchases:
|
Humblebeads (Heather Powers) I had difficulty picking out the spacers, not because nothing matched, but because everything did! I think this combination is perfect for spring. (Note: The oval pendant is sideways in this photo.) |
Green Girl Studios These whimsical pewter beads are fun to add to stringing projects. I especially love the bird-in-the-nest clasp—the bird is half of the clasp and the nest/background is the other. So clever! |

Earthenwood Studio (Melanie Brooks) The red beads were the first ones I chose. I love that color, but I hardly ever buy red beads. (Why is that?) I think the brick pattern makes them especially appealing—reminds of houses and coziness. |

Swoondimples (Heather Wynn) Heather has some great new designs, including clasps and beads that permit dangles on the bottom. However, in the end, I chose the pendant with a saying that's always fascinated me. It didn't hurt that it's also one of my favorite color combinations! |
