Is there anything writers love better than back-to-school sales? I was amused—and a little horrified—to find that for the first time I can remember, Target put a limit on the number of notebooks you could buy. I only bought six (the limit's 25) but I have a feeling I'll be back before the end of the month. I do a lot of writing on the computer, but I still like the portability of a notebook. It's light and doesn't need to be plugged in. Composition books now come in a bunch of colors, too, not just the classic black-and-white. I bought every color except hot pink!
